ChartScout is a real-time chart pattern detection and alert platform. It scans crypto spot and futures markets across Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, MEXC, and Hyperliquid, plus supported TradFi perpetual markets for stocks, ETFs, metals, commodities, and forex. ChartScout detects patterns such as Rising Wedges, Ascending Triangles, and Falling Wedges 24/7 and sends alerts in under 20 seconds.

## Developer Detection API - Agent Quick Start

ChartScout also exposes a separate detection-delivery API. Do not confuse the web subscription product and its Pattern Watchers with API subscriptions:

- Web Pattern Watchers are user-configured alert monitors covered by monthly web plans.
- API subscriptions are routing filters over ChartScout's shared canonical detection inventory.
- The API charges only the first delivery of a canonical detection to an account, priced by timeframe. It does not charge per watcher or start detector workloads for an API client.
- The anonymous delayed demo and authenticated production API are public. A signed-in user can verify a card and create a PAYG API account at https://chartscout.io/api-access.

The demo requires no account or API key, returns at most five real canonical CloudEvents, and delays every event by at least 24 hours. It accepts only published presets and has no arbitrary filters, cursor, SSE, usage ledger, or billing.

Agent rules: treat OpenAPI as authoritative; never invent endpoints or enum values; read catalogs rather than hard-coding them; never expose an API key; use cursor pagination unchanged; deduplicate REST/SSE events by top-level `evt_` id; and honor RFC 9457 problem codes plus `Retry-After`.

## How to Use ChartScout (Dashboard Workflow)

ChartScout is an alerting tool, not a charting tool. You do not read or draw charts inside ChartScout. You tell it what to watch for, and it notifies you when a pattern forms. To create a Pattern Watcher:

1. On the Dashboard, open "Create New Pattern Watcher".
2. Select an Exchange. (The Symbol, Interval, and Pattern fields stay locked and show "Select exchange first" until an exchange is chosen.)
3. Open Symbol, pick one or more trading pairs, then click Apply.
4. Open Interval, pick one or more timeframes, then click Apply.
5. Open Pattern Detection, pick one or more patterns, then click Apply.
6. Click "Start Pattern Watchers".

When a selected pattern is detected, you receive a real-time alert. Configure alert channels at https://chartscout.io/settings:

- **Discord**: connect your account to receive alerts and join the ChartScout Discord community.
- **Telegram**: included during the 7-day Pro trial and on every paid plan.

## Pattern Screener

The screener is inside the authenticated dashboard after email verification. It lists genuine detections from markets currently monitored on supported venues, with detector charts and exchange links. It is not a live quote terminal or a scan of every listed instrument.

Filters: asset category, exchange, spot/futures market, timeframe, pattern, direction, detection history and pair/pattern text search. Non-crypto categories are venue-listed instruments, including TradFi perpetuals; they do not imply stock or ETF ownership.
