Chart Pattern Screener: 4,000+ Live Detections a Day
By Stjepan IvanovićUpdated
ChartScout's chart pattern screener is a live list of every pattern its 23 detectors publish on futures pairs with $1M+ daily volume across Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, MEXC and Hyperliquid. From October 1 to 9, 2026 that was 4,193 to 5,310 detections per day. Enterprise+ ($99/month) shows the whole stream from 1-minute charts up, with seven days of history.
Most pattern tools show you a handful of setups on the coins they pick. ChartScout's screener shows you the full output of its detection engine: every chart pattern its 23 detectors publish on futures pairs with $1M+ daily volume across Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, MEXC and Hyperliquid, as it happens.
That is a lot of output. From October 1 to 9, 2026, the screener received between 4,193 and 5,310 detections per day, about 4,780 on average, spread across 1,948 different pairs. A typical detection reached the database 13 seconds after its 1-minute candle closed.
On Enterprise+ at $99/month nothing is held back: 1-minute charts and up, all 23 detectors, all five exchanges, and seven days of detection history. It is the same detection engine, built and tuned over two years, that powers our own alerts.
Disclosure: ChartScout publishes this guide and makes the screener described here. Competitor descriptions use the official sources linked below; their paid interfaces were not tested.
What 4,000 to 5,000 detections a day looks like
Every number below comes from ChartScout's production database: public detections from the 23 published detectors, October 1 to 9, 2026 (nine full UTC days).
| Day (UTC) | Detections |
|---|---|
| Oct 1 | 4,364 |
| Oct 2 | 4,910 |
| Oct 3 | 5,305 |
| Oct 4 | 4,478 |
| Oct 5 | 4,193 |
| Oct 6 | 4,333 |
| Oct 7 | 5,028 |
| Oct 8 | 5,107 |
| Oct 9 | 5,310 |
The stream is built around futures. ChartScout monitors futures pairs with at least $1M in daily trading volume, so every detection comes from a market with real liquidity behind it.
| Exchange (futures) | Detections per day |
|---|---|
| Binance | ~2,160 |
| KuCoin | ~960 |
| Bybit | ~860 |
| MEXC | ~510 |
| Hyperliquid | ~290 |
Short timeframes produce the most structures, simply because there are more candles to work with:
| Timeframe | Detections per day |
|---|---|
| 1m | ~1,530 |
| 3m | ~640 |
| 5m | ~1,730 |
| 15m | ~550 |
| 30m | ~230 |
| 1h | ~90 |
| 4h | ~16 |
The busiest detectors were Channel Down and Descending Triangle (about 1,060 each per day), followed by Falling Wedge, Falling Knife Reversal, Ascending Triangle and Rising Wedge. Larger structures are much rarer: Head and Shoulders and Triple Top averaged about two detections a day each.
No one can trade 5,000 setups a day, and you are not supposed to. The point is coverage: whatever pair, venue and timeframe you trade, its detections are already in the list, and the filters cut the stream down to the part you care about.
How fast a detection reaches you
A pattern can only be confirmed once its candle has closed, so the useful measure is how long after the close a detection is published. Across the same nine days:
| Timeframe | Median after candle close | 90% published within |
|---|---|---|
| 1m | 13 s | 21 s |
| 3m | 18 s | 34 s |
| 5m | 21 s | 43 s |
| 15m | 38 s | 55 s |
| 1h | 54 s | 70 s |
On paid plans the screener is live, with no intentional delay: a new detection normally shows up within a minute of its candle closing. These are measured times, not a guarantee: exchange data, processing and your connection all add time.
If you want a push instead of a list, a personal Pattern Watcher sends the detection to the platform, Discord, email or Telegram as soon as it is published. The seven-day Pro trial delays the screener by 15 minutes; trial watchers still notify immediately.
What is actually in the screener
The screener is one page with a filter panel and a grid of detection cards.
Filters. A row of asset-type buttons (All, Crypto, Stocks, ETFs & indices, Metals, Commodities, Forex), a search box for pair or pattern names, and six dropdowns:
- Exchange: Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, MEXC, Hyperliquid
- Market: Spot or Futures
- Timeframe: 1m to 1d
- Pattern Detection: any of the 23 published detectors
- Direction: Bullish, Bearish, Both or Neutral
- Detected: Last 24 hours on every plan; Enterprise and Enterprise+ can switch to Last 7 days
Each dropdown works on its own, and all of them except Detected start on All. Set any combination you like, in any order. Reset all clears them. Options outside your plan stay visible and are marked as an upgrade.
Cards. Each card shows the pair, its direction, the pattern, the timeframe, the exchange and market, the detector's chart, how long ago it was detected, and an Open on exchange link to that pair. Click the chart to open it full size. On paid plans, Watch this setup copies the card's exchange, pair, timeframe and pattern into a new personal watcher.
A practical way to use it: pick the exchange and market you actually trade, choose a timeframe you can watch, then scan the cards. Add Direction or a specific pattern when you want a narrower list. The asset-type buttons matter mainly for venue-listed contracts on gold, indices or stocks; check those contract terms on the exchange before trading them.
Real detections from the stream
These charts are real ChartScout detections from October 6 to 10, 2026, rendered with ChartScout's own chart plotter from the stored detection data. We picked clean examples to show what the detectors draw. We did not pick them by what price did next, and no trade outcomes were measured.
Bear Pennant, SUI/USDT, 1h, KuCoin futures
An 8.1% drop forms the flagpole, then price coils between a falling resistance line and a rising support line until the two nearly meet. The detector rated the pennant 91.5% mature. Maturity describes how complete the formation is. It is not a probability of profit.
Bull Pennant, NEAR/USDT, 15m, KuCoin futures
The mirror image: a 3.2% rally, then a tightening triangle with three touches on each side. A close above the falling resistance line is what most traders would wait for; a close below support would cancel the idea.
Cup and Handle, ARB/USDT, 15m, Bybit futures
A rounded cup lasting four and a half hours, a shallow handle, and price back at the neckline. The detector marks it READY, with the handle complete and price testing the level.
Descending Triangle, WIF/USDT, 1h, Bybit futures
A falling resistance line touched 14 times and a flat support line touched four times, with price pressed back onto support at the right edge. The detector puts maturity at 81.2%: the triangle has not broken out yet.
Ascending Triangle, NEAR/USDT, 5m, MEXC futures
A flat ceiling touched four times and a rising floor touched ten times, squeezing price into the resistance. The same structure was detected on NEAR/USDT Bybit futures four seconds earlier. The screener lists both, so you can choose the venue you trade.
Bear Flag, DOGE/USDC, 1h, Binance futures
A 7% flagpole drop on heavy volume, then a rising channel on fading volume. The flag is still inside its channel here; a close below support would be the continuation signal.
Before acting on any detection, open the current chart. The image is a snapshot from the moment of detection, and price may have moved since. Decide what would confirm the setup and what would invalidate it, and judge both on closed candles. Volume analysis and spotting false breakouts cover the checks in more depth.
Screener for discovery, Pattern Watchers for alerts
The screener answers "What has just been detected across all these markets?" A personal Pattern Watcher answers "Tell me the moment this exact setup appears again." One watcher covers one exchange + pair + timeframe + pattern.
Most traders use both: browse the screener to find markets that keep producing structures they like, then press Watch this setup so the next one arrives as a notification. Browsing alone never subscribes you to anything; only activated watchers send notifications. Our Telegram setup guide shows how to connect that channel.
New accounts verify their email, can browse a preview with selected real charts, choose watcher settings, and then start the seven-day Pro trial with a card. The trial renews at $39/month from day eight at current monthly pricing unless canceled before renewal. Review the current billing terms.
How much of the stream each plan shows
Plans differ in the lowest timeframe, exchanges, detectors and history you can browse. That decides how much of the daily stream you see. The last column applies each plan's scope to the October 1 to 9 data.
| Plan | Monthly price | Screener timeframes | History | Exchanges / detectors | Detections per day in scope |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $19 | 15m+ | 24 hours | Binance, Bybit, Hyperliquid; 15 core patterns | ~460 |
| Pro | $39 | 5m+ | 24 hours | All 5; all 23 detectors | ~2,600 |
| Enterprise | $69 | 3m+ | 7 days | All 5; all 23 detectors | ~3,250 |
| Enterprise+ | $99 | 1m+ | 7 days | All 5; all 23 detectors | ~4,780 (everything) |
Enterprise+ is the only plan that includes 1-minute detections, roughly a third of the stream. With seven days of history, that is over 30,000 detections you can search and filter at any time.
Personal watcher limits are separate from the screener: 100 on Basic, 250 on Pro, 500 on Enterprise and 1,000 on Enterprise+. The Pro trial has Pro's scope with a 15-minute screener delay. Compare plans and annual billing.
A week of detections is not a backtest. Measuring performance needs a defined sample, entry and exit rules, costs, and a method that avoids look-ahead and selection bias. Nothing in this article measures outcomes.
How other chart-pattern tools compare
The comparison below describes public documentation checked October 10, 2026. It is not a hands-on test of competitors' paid features or a profitability ranking.
| Product | Approach | What to check before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| ChartScout | A live feed of every published detection on $1M+ volume futures pairs across five exchanges, from 1m charts up, plus personal watcher alerts. | Your plan's timeframes, exchanges and history; the trial's 15-minute delay. It is not a stock or fundamentals screener. |
| altFINS | Crypto chart-pattern discovery inside a broader analysis and screening workspace. | Which coins, venues and timeframes are covered, and how often results refresh. |
| TrendSpider | Custom market scans that can include chart-pattern conditions; scheduled scans can email results. | Your asset coverage, and how scan refresh, scheduled results and separate alerts fit your routine. |
| TradingView | Pattern overlays on an interactive chart, plus separate screener and custom-script tools. | Auto Chart Patterns works on the open chart (it searches the last 600 bars). Pine Screener excludes the built-in patterns category, so an overlay is not automatically a multi-symbol scan. |
| Finviz | Stock screening with separate Pattern and Candlestick filters. | Whether a US stock universe suits your trading. Elite adds notifications for new screener matches. |
When comparing, ask each tool three questions: does it scan the exact exchange contract you trade, how low does its timeframe go, and how long after the candle close does a detection appear? For focused comparisons, see our altFINS alternative and TrendSpider alternative pages. An advertised "AI accuracy" or win rate means little unless you can see its sample, outcomes and method.
See every detection the moment it lands.

Frequently asked questions
What is a chart pattern screener?
A tool that lists markets where price formations such as triangles, flags or double tops have been detected, so you can review a shortlist instead of opening every chart. A detection is not a trade recommendation.
How many detections does ChartScout's screener show per day?
From October 1 to 9, 2026, ChartScout published between 4,193 and 5,310 detections per day, about 4,780 on average, on futures pairs with $1M+ daily volume across Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, MEXC and Hyperliquid. Enterprise+ shows all of them; lower plans show the part that matches their timeframes, exchanges and detectors.
Is the screener real time?
Paid plans have no intentional delay. Detections were published a median of 13 seconds after a 1-minute candle closed and 21 seconds after a 5-minute candle closed, and they appear in the screener without any intentional delay. The Pro trial delays the screener by 15 minutes.
What is the difference between the screener and a Pattern Watcher?
The screener lets you browse recent detections across all markets in your plan. A personal watcher monitors one exchange, pair, timeframe and pattern and notifies you through the platform, Discord, email or Telegram when it is detected again.
Which plan shows 1-minute detections?
Only Enterprise+ ($99/month) includes 1-minute detections in the screener, roughly a third of the daily stream. Enterprise starts at 3 minutes, Pro at 5 minutes and Basic at 15 minutes.
Does a bullish or bearish pattern mean there is a trade?
No. Direction describes the pattern classification. You still need to check the current chart, confirmation, invalidation, instrument terms and your own risk rules.
Is seven-day screener history a backtest?
No. It is a list of detection records. A backtest needs a defined sample and entry, exit, cost and outcome rules that avoid look-ahead and selection bias.
