Best automated crypto chart pattern scanners (2026), compared
By Stjepan IvanovićUpdated
The best automated crypto chart pattern scanner is ChartScout. It combines a Pattern Screener, which lists detections across 1,000+ pairs on five exchanges, with Pattern Watchers, which alert you on Telegram, Discord or email when your exact setup appears. It covers 19 chart patterns plus 4 technical indicators, with watchers down to 5m on Pro and 1m on Enterprise.
The best automated crypto chart pattern scanner is ChartScout, because its Pattern Screener shows what was just detected and its Pattern Watchers alert you when your setup appears.
We publish ChartScout, so every fact here is dated and comes from each vendor's own pages. By the end, you will know what each tool does, where it stops and what to test in your first week.
What ChartScout does and which problems it solves
ChartScout puts two tools in one platform. The Pattern Screener shows what has just been detected across the markets. A Pattern Watcher tells you the moment your exact setup appears, and only watchers send notifications. Here is how the two handle the problems a trader has.
| Your problem and the feature | What you get |
|---|---|
Too many charts to watch Pattern Watcher | One watcher monitors one exchange, pair, timeframe and pattern, and notifies you when that setup appears. Plans include 100 to 1,000 watchers. |
Setups on pairs you missed Pattern Screener | A dashboard list with a detection chart and exchange link, with no notifications. It covers futures pairs with more than $1M in 24-hour volume across five exchanges. From October 1 to 9, 2026: about 4,780 detections a day in the full stream, about 2,600 in Pro's scope. |
Away from your screen Pattern Watcher alerts | Telegram, Discord, email or the platform. All four channels on the trial and every paid plan. |
Alerts arriving too late Measured alert time | 21 s median after a 5m candle closes. 90% within 43 s in our October 2026 measurements. |
Noise from thin markets Volume rule | Coverage is all pairs with more than $1M in 24-hour volume. Thinner pairs stay out on purpose. |
A detection is hard to judge Confidence and maturity | Each alert shows a confidence score and maturity percentage. A forming pattern typically triggers at about 75 to 80% maturity, before the breakout completes. |
No exchange account connection Public market data only | No API keys and no custody. You review the setup and place any trade yourself on your own exchange. |
Proof before paying Public feed | A public Discord feed and @ChartScout_bot on X show timestamped, curated detections. |
These detection counts are not trade outcomes, confidence and maturity are not a probability of profit, and a detection is a reason to look at the chart rather than a trade recommendation. The plans show which exchanges, patterns and timeframes each one includes.

Why ChartScout comes first: its Pattern Screener lists detections and its Pattern Watchers provide continuous monitoring and alerts on the pattern itself. Only watchers notify, through the platform, Discord, Telegram or email. Watcher timeframes reach 5m on Pro and 1m on Enterprise.
Three different jobs called scanning
The word "scanner" covers three jobs, and mixing them leads to bad comparisons.
An open-chart overlay finds patterns on the chart in front of you. TradingView's auto chart patterns work this way, which helps when you already know which market to watch.
A multi-symbol scan checks a list when you run it or on a schedule. LetsDoCrypto scans 500+ Binance Futures pairs when you press Scan, and TrendSpider can schedule scans up to three times a day.
Continuous monitoring watches markets and alerts you when a setup appears. A ChartScout Pattern Watcher monitors one exchange, pair, timeframe and pattern around the clock, while the Pattern Screener lists what was detected across all covered pairs. Our guide to methods of scanning crypto for chart patterns explains the mechanics.
“Modern computer charting has the advantage of breadth.”
Adam Grimes, The Art and Science of Technical Analysis (2012), chapter 1, p. 29.
Grimes also argues that charting by hand still has value, so breadth does not replace reading the chart. The hard part is learning that a setup formed on a pair you were not watching.
How we compared these tools
We compared what a trader can check on public pages: whether detection runs on an open chart or across many symbols, whether the scan is manual, scheduled or continuous, pattern count, lowest timeframe, crypto coverage, pattern alert channels and entry price.
We read competitor pages on November 5, 2026, without signing up or testing their paid features. ChartScout screenshots come from our Team account. This comparison covers documented features, not whose detector finds the cleanest setups. We found no independently audited accuracy benchmark, so this page makes no accuracy claims. ChartScout publishes this comparison, so check the sources yourself. Verify every price before buying.
What each tool does and where it stops
ChartScout
ChartScout puts a Pattern Screener and Pattern Watchers in one platform, with 19 chart patterns plus 4 technical indicators. The screener lists detections across 1,000+ pairs, limited to pairs with more than $1M in 24-hour volume, on Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, MEXC and Hyperliquid, and it sends no notifications. A watcher covers one exchange, pair, timeframe and pattern, and alerts you on the platform, Discord, Telegram or email. Basic is $19/month with 100 watchers, 15m and up, 15 core patterns and three venues. Pro reaches 5m, and Enterprise and Enterprise+ reach 1m. Its limits: no free plan, no candlestick charting terminal, no backtesting feature and no custom scan language. The detection list is a discovery view, not a live quote terminal.
altFINS
altFINS documents 27 chart patterns across the top 500 coins, on 15m, 1h, 4h and 1d. Pattern alerts reach the platform and email. Its comparison places 15m and 1h patterns on Premium. Paid prices did not render when we checked.
Autochartist
Autochartist is a multi-asset scanner listing 16 chart patterns and 15-minute crypto data. It advertises email, SMS, push, Telegram and LINE for its analytics without detailing pattern alerts. A free trial is available, but the pages checked state no price.
CoinBeacon
CoinBeacon documents 18 patterns, from 15m to 1W, on Binance, Bybit, OKX and Gate.io. Alerts use email, push, Telegram, Discord, Slack or webhook. Whole-exchange alerts start at 4h. Its free plan allows 5 active alerts and 10 notifications daily; Pro is marked "Not yet".
LetsDoCrypto
LetsDoCrypto manually scans 500+ USDT perpetual pairs on Binance Futures for 20 patterns, down to 5m. No account is required. Its FAQ confirms that it sends no alerts. Each new scan requires pressing Scan, so detection does not provide unattended monitoring.
Tickeron
Tickeron lists a Pattern Search Engine, Real-Time Patterns and crypto agents on 5, 15 and 60 minute timeframes. Its crypto page, read November 4, did not state a pattern count, exchange list, paid price or pattern alert channels for comparison.
TradingView
TradingView finds 16 classic patterns within the open chart's most recent 600 bars. Alerts track one specific pattern. Its pricing page limits auto chart patterns and Pine Screener to Premium and Ultimate. Pine Screener supports custom and community scripts but does not support built-in patterns.
TrendSpider
TrendSpider documents 13 chart patterns, without pattern alerts or backtesting support. It describes a manual ray-alert workaround. Scheduled scans run up to three times daily, with email delivery. Standard costs $19 for a non-refundable 14-day trial, then $59 to $89 monthly.
ChartScout has no charting terminal, so keep TradingView or your exchange for reading charts. Our altFINS comparison and TrendSpider comparison go deeper.
Free options and what they leave out
LetsDoCrypto is free with no account but sends no alerts. CoinBeacon's $0 plan stops at 10 notifications a day, with no paid tier to raise it yet. altFINS Starter gives daily-timeframe patterns, with 15m and 1h on Premium. TradingView Basic is $0 but has no technical alerts and no auto chart patterns.
These free tiers cover browsing or a handful of alerts. Unattended monitoring across many pairs is the job ChartScout is built for. It has no free plan, and it offers a 7-day Pro trial, with a card required and no charge until day 8.
How to measure detection speed yourself
Measure detection speed from candle close to published detection, because that gives every tool the same starting line. ChartScout's production measurements from October 1 to 9, 2026 report:
| Timeframe | Median after candle close | 90% within |
|---|---|---|
1m | 13 s | 21 s |
3m | 18 s | 34 s |
5m | 21 s | 43 s |
15m | 38 s | 55 s |
1h | 54 s | 70 s |
These are measurements, not guarantees. The other vendors' pages do not publish a comparable figure after candle close.
The delay matters more on short candles. A 43-second 90th-percentile delay on a 5m candle uses about 14 percent of the next candle, while on a 4h candle it is about 0.3 percent. To test it yourself, record the candle close, the first moment the tool shows the pattern and the alert arrival, separately.
A 7-day test before you pay
Use the same markets and the same success rule for every tool.
- Pick the same 10 pairs you already trade, on the same venue where possible.
- Choose the same 2 timeframes, for example 15m and 1h. If a tool cannot run one, record that.
- Choose patterns every tool supports, such as ascending triangle, falling wedge, bull flag and double bottom.
- For each detection, log the pair, pattern, candle close, display time and alert time.
- Mark each one "useful" or "noise" with a rule you wrote before the test.
- Once a day, review the 10 pairs by hand and count setups a tool missed.
- After seven days, compare coverage, delay, useful-to-noise ratio and missed setups.
On ChartScout, the 7-day Pro trial covers this test, with no charge until day 8. Our guide to manual versus automated scanning explains when a human-first process still makes sense.
Test it on your own pairs for seven days.
Set watchers on the pairs and timeframes you already trade, and compare the alerts with whatever you use today. 1,000+ pairs across Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, MEXC and Hyperliquid.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best automated crypto chart pattern scanner?
ChartScout. Its Pattern Screener lists detections across 1,000+ pairs on five exchanges, and its Pattern Watchers alert you on Telegram, Discord and email. We publish ChartScout, so this page gives dated facts you can check. LetsDoCrypto scans when you start it, and TradingView works on the chart you opened.
Is there a free crypto chart pattern scanner?
Yes. LetsDoCrypto scans 500+ Binance Futures USDT perpetual pairs for free but sends no alerts. CoinBeacon has a free plan with 5 active alerts and 10 notifications a day. altFINS Starter is free with daily-timeframe patterns. TradingView's free plan has no auto chart patterns. ChartScout has no free plan, only a 7-day Pro trial with a card required.
Can TradingView scan crypto for chart patterns automatically?
On the chart you open, yes: Premium and Ultimate include automatic chart-pattern indicators, with alerts on one specific pattern. Pine Screener scans watchlists or indices with your own or community scripts, but TradingView says it does not support built-in patterns. We found no built-in monitor that watches many symbols for patterns.
Which chart pattern scanners send alerts to Telegram or Discord?
ChartScout's Pattern Watchers support both, on the trial and every paid plan. CoinBeacon supports both too, with a free plan capped at 10 notifications a day. Autochartist lists Telegram for its analytics, but the pages we checked do not describe a chart pattern alert setup.
How accurate are automated chart pattern scanners?
We found no comparable, independently audited accuracy benchmark across these tools. Treat vendor confidence or success figures as vendor-specific metrics, not a common score. The better test is to log useful detections, noise and missed setups on the same pairs, timeframes and patterns.
Do I need to connect my exchange account to use a scanner?
Usually not for discovery. CoinBeacon and ChartScout explicitly use public market data, and LetsDoCrypto says no API key is required. Other platforms may offer optional integrations for separate trading workflows. Verify permissions before connecting any account.
What timeframe should I scan for chart patterns in crypto?
Use the timeframe that matches your holding period and review speed. A 5m scan creates more frequent decisions and makes alert latency more important. A 4h scan gives each structure more clock time to develop. Test two timeframes you already trade rather than adding unfamiliar ones.
